• Start as soon as one can on the project. Coding takes longer then one can ever expect.
• Interaction diagram is very important. It is the road map during the construction of the site.
• Keep the project simple and compact.
• Many examples on the Web. Need to take time to sift through many sites.
• HTML not as flexible as HyperCard. HTML's big plus that it can be viewed from many platforms and from almost anywhere.
• Claris Home Page good for the basic HTML construction. Home Page does not support newer HTML tags and Java. Now using FrontPage.
• Using frames not worth the aggravation unless you really need them. Tables can do many things that frames can do.
• Took HTML code from other sites and reversed engineered them to use in my site.

  How I would do it differently

• Implement sketches of photograph earlier in conceptual stages of project.
• Learn more about HTML code and Java.
• Java has the potential to change a dull Web site into something exciting.
